Alfalfa can be included in all rations for ruminants.


It can be fed to dairy cows alongside maize, but can also be used as a protein supply at finishing stage. Alternatively, it can be fed together with other types of forage for higher quality nutritional value.


Excellent results are obtained when alfalfa is mixed with plants such as Tall Fescue, Cocksfoot, Timothy, and Brome.
