> How difficult is alfalfa to harvest ?

Alfalfa, like most other forage crops, is easy to harvest. The key success factors are choosing the right equipement and operating at the right speed.

At the time of cutting and wilting (avoid if possible) alfalfa shoud be windrowed in order to minimize leaf loss, as leaves provide 70% to 90% of vitamins and proteins contained in the plant.
